WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY
“The work has really improved, with a lot more optimism for ongoing improvement, it’s been a game-changer for me and the department.”
“Working with Academic Leadership Group (ALG) gave us an objective, data-informed outside perspective on our staff structure—something that can be difficult to see clearly from within an organization. Their assessment surfaced actionable recommendations grounded directly in staff input, which made it easier to move forward with confidence and credibility.
Based on ALG’s guidance, we successfully revamped our organizational structure, reduced the number of direct reports to the dean, and built stronger, more effective teams across student services and operations. The changes helped us make excellent new leadership hires and improve key practices like onboarding and staff meetings.”
“I went through a significant transition since coaching, scaling up from a 5-person undergrad-driven lab to a 12-person postdoc/grad student lab. To ensure everyone’s success, we needed an environment where they could collaborate and not depend solely on me. My personal motivation for coaching was to achieve a better work-life balance for myself and improve my effectiveness in the lab for my team. Throughout the coaching process, I gained valuable insights into new approaches, like asking questions, being transparent about expectations, and empowering the team to problem-solve independently without top-down direction. The value-add for both myself and the team resulted in more productivity, curiosity, logic, and community.”
“We want to thank you so much for your work on our strategic planning project. It helped us lay a strong foundation for our institute’s future. Our recent advisory meeting went really well. The director provided details, and we received positive feedback. Our faculty are also very engaged. As a next step, we are developing several initiatives.”
